- Most classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats and props available on first come first serve basis. Students are encouraged to bring their own mats. Additional mats and props can be purchased here at the studio.
- Water can be purchased at the studio.
- No cell phones on while class is in session.
Beginner Workshop Series- 4-Week Session. This introductory series will give an overview of Vinyasa Yoga focusing on the connection between breath and movement. Familiarity is established between the flow of breath and the connection with various foundational yoga postures. This class will help clear out any confusion over what yoga could do for you and what it is all about. This class will give you a strong foundation to continue building on. By the end of the series, you will be ready to practice yoga at the Level 1- Gentle Flow class with comfort and ease.
Level 1- Gentle Flow- A deep foundation is established through detailed instruction and demo's. Introduction to pranayama (breath control).Gentle flowing movement throughout the class with many rests in between. Many modifications offered to open the body deeper with much attention to alignment and form.
Level 2/3- Intermediate/Advanced Flow - Deeper connection between body and breath as a rythmic flow is established throughout the class. Full versions of Asanas offered. More advanced postures are offered. This is a vigorous class that will build heat and strength as well as explore the calm within the mind. The student can expect a continuous flow with attention to moving deeper into postures and connecting more deeply with the breath.
Open Level- Flow- Some yoga experience recommended. All level class moving at the pace and energy level of the majority present.
Restorative Yoga- Yoga postures using many yoga props to assist the student in opening the heart and mind and achieving deeper relaxation. This class is great for all levels of student.
Pre-Natal Yoga- Living with a changing body can be challenging and frustrating at times. It can be hard to remember that there is a little one inside waiting to be welcomed into the world! Flowing from one pose to another and making some little stops along the way to strengthen the bond between Mom-to-Be and Baby-to-be. Celebrate in the magnificence that is new life & positive energy. Meet other Mom’s-to-Be and share your experiences. This class is for women in their Second and Third Trimesters. No Yoga Experience necessary.
Kids Yoga (8-11 year olds)-Introduce your child to the enchanting world of yoga! In this 8-Week session Kids yoga class, Kids will explore yoga poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation in a fun, nurturing and non-competitive environment... Laughter and creativity are highly encouraged. Each class offers your child the opportunity to relax and unwind while stretching themselves to new limits.
Kids Yoga (4-7 year olds)-This fun class inspires children to use their imagination. Children learn to focus and develop better concentration skills.
Mommy & Me Yoga (6wks-speed crawlers)- Bond with your new baby as you strengthen your abdominals and your sense of self. Allow the calm that you create through breath and centering to calm your baby. Begin to explore your body through a healthy yoga flow. Be prepared to interact with your baby as you move through poses together.
Toddler & Me Yoga (Walkers-3 years)-Bond with your active toddler in a creative & inspirational environment . Allow the magic of yogic interaction to help create focus and concentration skills. An uplifting yoga class for mom, dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles or caregivers and tot! This class will focus on developing your connection with your growing toddler as you give them a strong foundation in yoga. From animals, colors, shapes and sounds to partner yoga movement. Teach them to breath, laugh and love in a setting that welcomes and encourages it!
Family Yoga (multi-generational)- Family Yoga is a great opportunity for the whole family to spend quality bonding time together while enjoying the benefits of yoga in a fun, and relaxed environment. After all, kids grow up so fast, so take the time to be present and enjoy the moment. Each class is designed to foster communication, teamwork, increased flexibility and strength through yoga poses, yoga games, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
